RESTLESS was designed by famed designer Doug Peterson to be his own personal boat to be used for single-handed racing and cruising on the West Coast. Doug

Looking for a well-designed, well-performing and well-built racer cruiser / daysailer  that offers plenty of cockpit and deck space for family and friends sailing while at the same time offers performance sailing with winning potential in club and event racing and (with cold-molded, wood-epoxy construction) qualifies to sail in the wooden boat regatta circuits? And all this at an affordable price? Look no further as RESTLESS is just that boat, rigged, in-the-water, ready to go and her owners have just authorized a $10K reduction in asking price!

Famed yacht designer Doug Peterson drew RESTLESS to be his own personal boat and to be used for single-handed racing and cruising on the West Coast. Doug never did build the boat for himself but the design was purchased by West Coast racing sailor David Hamilton who along with New Zealand boat builder Barry Pearson built RESTLESS in Sausalito (CA) and launched her in 1977. David Hamilton kept the boat for many years, actively raced in single-handed events and accumulated an impressive race record not the least of which was a 4th place finish in the 1982 single-handed Trans Pac.

Originally built as a completely flush deck boat an attractive coach roof and cruising amenities were added by a later owner in 1984 making RESTLESS a very versatile boat still very capable of showing her stuff on the race course while at the same time providing her owners with the comforts one would expect to see on a typical racer / cruiser.

RESTLESS has always been under professional care and is currently stored with and serviced by Brooklin Boat Yard. The seller has complete documentation of maintenance history under his ownership (since 1992) that can be made available to serious inquiries. Even though RESTLESS is for sale her owners continue to care for her as though they would be keeping her forever. Currently in the water on the Deer Isle side of the Eggemoggin Reach, RESTLESS is just a short scenic dinghy ride away from Brooklin Boat Yard for those interested buyers who would like an up-close and personal look at this versatile  and easy-to-handle racer / cruiser / daysailor.
