1961, L. Francis Herreshoff, H28 Ketch
Asking Price $48,500
Location: Vermilion, Ohio
ANNIE L is a superb example of the L. Francis Herreshoff designed H28 full keel ketch. Launched in 1961 she was built by her original owner (Albert F. Sprock) who was the commodore of the Vermilion Yacht Club and who sailed her for years on Lake Erie.
The present owner purchased ANNIE L from the niece in 2015 and has completely restored the boat to where one would consider her to be a new boat. Most recently ANNIE L has seen a major cosmetic refit consisting of the stripping and revarnishing of all brightwork (inside and out), hull wooded, faired, primed and painted, polishing of all bronze and brass hardware. ANNIE L was out of the water and on the hard for a full season during the most recent refit but when launched this past spring she was tight as a drum. ANNIE L is in near new condition with no on-going projects or need for any work apart from normal annual commissioning or decommissioning tasks.
