Marsh Hen Shoal Draft Lobster Picnic Boat for sale

MAGIC

2001, Herreshoff Alerion, 26’”
Asking Price: $60,000 / Location: Southwest Harbor, Maine

Built by Proper Yachts in Bristol, R.I. in 2001, MAGIC is a modern recreation of the original Alerion, designed by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff for his own use in 1912. Halsey Herreshoff took the hull lines directly and with precision from Captain Nat’s own adjustments of the Alerion’s lines.

For simplicity, low maintenance, and good sailing, the full keel configuration was adapted over a centerboard. The hull shape is constructed in strong light, easily maintained fiberglass with deck, trunk cabin and topsides cored for greater strength. Beautifully crafted teak coamings, seats, toe rails and cockpit sole replicate the charm, warmth and classic good looks of Herreshoff’s original personal boat.

MAGIC is stored (inside) in Southwest Harbor (Maine). Her owners do not plan to use the boat this season but have had MAGIC prepared for launching with fresh varnish work, new bottom paint and nicely buffed topsides. Contact us if you’d like to arrange a date / time to see MAGIC for yourself.
