Joel’s design #37, Sweet Olive, was launched in 1991. Despite being designed as a cruiser, her moderate displacement and sweet hull form would make her an excellent racer. With cruising in mind, her interior is clean and simple. Unique details can be found all around this design. Her bronze guardrail, for example, is an elegant solution to dockside chafing from pilings. Portlights located in her topsides, another distinctive and unusual feature, allow light and air to pour into the cabin as well as allow a view outward from the interior.
